My first 'proper' self portrait

I decided to do a self portrait today. I used one 180W flash with a silver umbrella, opticly triggered.

Its kinda ok, well lit, but not overly exciting tbh. Were you going for the bored look?

And how come you've left so much white space to the right? If you're going to do that, at least put a thin black border around the pic to give it some definition as to where the pic actually ends

i agree with better about the pose and border but to be honest u did well with the lighting. U using seamless on the back?

Thanks for the feedback! I was finding it hard to do a decent pose, and this was the best one that I got... I was just using a wall as a background then I photoshopped the background to be perfectly white. A White seamless background is next on my 'to buy list' after a new computer...
