Hi everyone, well couple of days ago i bought myself a 400D with kit lens, had a drive up to a local park and snapped a few birds, unfortunately a combination of me being extremely new to this and the horrific light, results were less than good . Anyway, this was the best of a very bad bunch, feel free to be harsh with your criticism, i'm looking for it:).

Not really a lot to say. Its not a bad shot, but it just lacks.. enthusiasm..
Its just mediocre. Try getting lower, and try getting some sort of background in. Do a google search on "rule of thirds"
Also, terrible red eye. Can easily be rectified in photo editing software.
Apart from that, keep snapping!
It all comes down to two things.
The eye for a good photo, and the skill to take that photo!

I'm not quite there yet, but there are a lot of guys on here who really know what they're doing.

Cheers foodpoison, I know what you mean about mediocre, i took around 70 shots and when flicking through them was completely disappointed, i suppose it's just going to take a bit of time. The enthusiasm was there though, i almost fell in early on :D
