Just thought I'd share with you my frankenstein tripod setup for walking.

First You take a Slik Sprint Pro II and you remove the head.

Then you add a Slik SH705E Pan head from a Pro 400Dx

Then you drill a hole in the plastic bung in the bottom of the centre column and you add a cup hook. Mix up some araldite, rather alot and fill the inside of the bung to make sure said cup hook doesn't just pull out of the bottom.

There! a comapct lightweight tripod with a proper head, weighing in at 1.28Kg, damn near half the weight of the 400Dx or a Redsnapper.

The hook came form the big old biscuit tin ful of rusty nails various screws, rawplugs and other DIY leftovers! :lol:
