My hamster Lilly

Here is a photo that I took of my 4 month hamster Lilly sat on my partners hand.
What is good about it and what is bad ? All advice welcome as I'm still very much a learner

(I know there is probably a little too much of a black border around Lilly )

I think this is really good. I like the black background as she really stands out. Its sharp and the colours really stand out. Very cute too.

Well taken, I like, good bold colours and nice and sharp...maybe think about composition more though.

There is a lot of black around the main subject which is fine, but to the right it is very empty...would it work better if you cropped in both sides a little more?

Rob, just after I posted this photo I realised the un-cropped version, woops ! But your right , its far better with some of the black cropped away

Agree with crop off top and right.

Lovely shot - The three elements work a treat.
Image is a little dull through - need to brighten it up a little.

Since you've got edit ticked - say and I'll remove.

Rockshifter the edit you have done on the photo of Lilly is gorgeous Im really pleased with it, its always great to have a little help with editing the photo !

Really like this - colours are excellent, nice lighting and the pp has enhanced this.
