All with my Nikon D3000, I'm still a bit confused with aperture settings so they're out of focus in places... still, hope you like em! No macro lens I'm afraid!

Here's Shinji as a nipper. He'd run and hide if more than 4 fruit flies were in his den! From the early days in the hobby.

Many moths, flies and grasshoppers later...

All done with the basic 18-55mm lens, don't know if I'll get more serious with the close up work but it certainly produces some interesting photos (y)

Hope people like em.

#2 focus looks ok but rotate so the body is horizontal ..?

colour is too harsh for me...adjust WB in camera before shooting

if that's the 18-55 lens it takes a 52mm diam filter
you can get a set of 3 "close-up" filters off eBay for £10

cheers mate I'll check those filters out... I've seen them before but thought you'd need a macro lens to use them effectively.

ah I know - I'm mad for the warmth of shady balance! TBH this is where I come across as a bit ignorant but I really don't "feel" my photos unless it's this warm.

Bit rich coming from a beginner with a D3000 but it's just personal preference:wacky:
