My new 50D settings advice please.

Right got a 50d yesterday and just a few settings im not sure what to set at so any help welcome.

I shoot in raw, so any setting that are best done in PP let me know.

1. Highlight tone - is it worth keeping this on?

2. Lighting optimizer - standard, low, strong, disabled?

3. Peripheral lens correction - what the hell?

4. Colour range, sRBG or the adobe setting?

5. Colour shift?

Switch if off if you shoot raw which you should be doing anyway.

2. Lighting optimizer - standard, low, strong, disabled?

Disable it you shoot raw as it increases noise in raw images and raw processing gives you more control over exposure than AOL anyway.

3. Peripheral lens correction - what the hell?

Enable it - it helps in getting an even spread of light into the corners of the image and combats vignetting which many lenses are susceptible to.

CLICKY

4. Colour range, sRBG or the adobe setting?

Use sRGB both in the camera and in your editing software. sRGB means other people on the web should see the same colours as you.

5. Colour shift?

Leave it alone unless you have a problem.

LOL. Get out and take some pics - the macro focusing adjustment isn't something to be approached casually.

Ave just got the suggested instructions from cannon with he graph/picture.

Will give it a go when the missus isnt bugging me lol
