Well this arrived earlier in the week and I cant wait to get using it this weekend
Its a Nikon F4 with grip and data back which I got from slovakia (via ebay). I have loaded my Tamron 90mm macro onto it, as this is the only lens I have with a selectable apeture ring.
Here is how it fits with my other cameras...
My 20D, the F4 and the D700
Apologies for crap pic, my iphone doesnt exactly have an amazing lens and low light performance
Its amazing how a year ago I had been using my 20D religously and loved it so much, but after getting the D700 and now the (old) F4, as much as I hate to admit it but the canon feels absolutely horrid to use now!
The viewfinder is awful, it feels lightweight and cheap in comparison to the heavy set Nikons... Dont get me wrong, I am no Canon hater by a long stretch, just really happy with my Nikons and how much of a difference you can tell from a pro body
Its amazing how good the old F4 feels to use, I know this camera was expensive in its day, but you can get them for a bargain price now and the fact that I can use my pro Nikon glass on it too is really cool
I will post up some pics from the F4 when I get some film this weekend. Its so nice to have a film camera again, just cannot believe how much I missed it!
