just a grab shot of my parents.
i dont get to see them that often and photos are few and far between so i said i wanted a shot of them together..

this was also a good excuse to try out my new 24-105 L

I like that, sometimes you can't beat simple portraits using natural light. :clap:

When my dad died we realised we had next to no pictures of him on his own. Now I take pictures of everyone at all family events in pairs, family and of course solo.

As great and relaxed they look here you should still TAKE MORE!

I agree,you just can't take enough pics of family. There comes a time when you can't take any more, which is when you'll really value them.

The last pic we had of all 4 of us brothers together was taken by me on a silly little compact about two weeks before Pete died. I think the last one previously was when we were kids.

Lovely photo, and you right a great chance to try out your new lens. I just got the 24-105 my self the other week. Been out today taking snow pics in nearby park area, first real I had chance to use it, not used it for any portaites yet that next on the list.
