Well, I had a go at shooting the QM2. I used a Pentax *istDL and Tamron 70 - 300mm.

Not bad I prefer the last image with more view of the skyline.

Yeah, last is my favourite too. I suppose I forget how nice the Liverpool skyline is because I see it every day.
