I took this photo the day i got my Sony Alpha 350... i had never used a SLR before only the usual digi cameras.

He is a lovely little boy... the only thing that I find odd is that there is obviously lots of light on his face, but no catchlight in his eye, just a dark pupil.

The flash is very harsh, I presume it's the on camera flash, try diffusing it by putting something transparent in front of it such as a tissue.
