So 2 years ago, I moved to the Forest, with the anticipation of taking loads of photos.. It never really happened for various reasons including health.

I sold a lot of my gear, all my fuji stuff and my little canon g1x.
I now only have my d700, 70-200 and cosina 17-35, which isn't really ideal for walking in the woods with dogs.

When out walking, Id love something small and pocketable to take with me, as although phones have come a long way, They just don't offer the quality I want.

So Im looking for something small, light and with a wide angle lens.

Im completely open to any brand, mirrorless or compact, auto or manual focus
Only thing is ideally below £200 all in.

Ive had a Panasonic Gf1, fuji x10, x100/s/t, xpro1, xe-1, xt-1, sony rx100 and probably more before and would be happy to again, but apart from the Panny will all be out of budget I suspect.

Obviously I don't mind going older tech to keep in budget.

This is the sort of images Im taking with my phone, I want the same sort of thing, but with a decent sensor behind it.

Sony rx100 mk 1 would be my choice, small and good image quality, Currys etc should have them

I think you should head over to the GAS confessional thread :D

I would try the Fuji refurb store. Compromises have to be made at that price

Yeah looked on there, nothing on there that ticks the boxes yet.
Shouldnt have sold my xT1 kit earlier in the year. I then bought a x100t that again I didn’t use and sold a while later.
Sadly I can’t predict when my health issues flare up and force me out of action for a while, so all my kits sits on the shelf not being used and I end up selling it to buy something else.. then I get better and have no gear left.
Thankfully I’ve had the sense to keep my d700, but it’s not ideal to lug around the woods these days.

A used X30?
Sounds like you've taken all the used losses previously... let someone else take the hit this time.

Only new cameras I’ve ever bought were the Nikon d50 and the Fuji xpro1, but I actually only paid £150 for the fuji in the end after trading in a d3400 and they had a special £200 rebate plus 2 free lenses. I did very well out of that! I always buy low if I can I havent lost nearly as much as you’d think I would have with all the gear I’ve bought and sold. I only listed the smaller cameras on the op too, I’ve had lots of dslrs on top of that list!

x10 and x20 are on the list, haven’t looked at the x30 in great detail. My only concern is the lens isn’t all that wide at the wide end. I didn’t have the x10 long as I replaced it with an x100, and I can’t really recall how wide it was in actual use.

An X-E1 would be my choice - I've heard of them being available pretty cheaply, but am yet to snag one myself.

Funny you should say that.. just been looking at camera jungle. They have one for £122 plus then an extra 20% off. Seems like a very good deal.
My only small gripe is I remember the efv and screen not being amazing on the x-e1. They also have an x-e2 for £224 plus 20% off which is also quite tempting. But they also have an x-t1 at not bad money, but then I’m back where I started a few months ago, as I had one of those and a samyang 12mm and sold it all stupidly.

Hurting my head, so much choice these days. I remember when Fuji was x100 or x pro 1. Life was much simpler!
