Need some tips for Tmr

I am going to take some pictures at a marathon tmr and wonder what i should have my camera set at? What metering and what focusing should i use like Ai Servo or what ever...

Also should I stick my flash on and what shutter and aperture am i looking at using. with and without flash.

If its a run, shoot aperture priority, and constant af...easy
Wouldn't bother with flash, runners don't appreciate it after 14 miles of huffin and puffin.
Shoot max app for individual runners and something smaller but not so small you can't handhold the shutter speed for groups/wide angles.
If it isn't....I dunno

Yes it a run sorry, I typed that fast lastnight before I went to bed.

So I set it AP mode and set aperture at about 11f ???

f/11 would be a bit small, as joxby said set it to max so (depending on your lens) f/2.8 or f4.

It's best to play when you get there, theres no sure fire settings - what if its brilliant sunshine? f/4 may give you too fast a shutter speed to blur the movement then
