Just returned from my annual tour of Madagascar. Unsurprisingly, I came across a few species that I've not seen previously. This is by far the smallest chameleon that I've photographed. While the genus is obvious, I'm uncertain of the species. It's possible that it hasn't yet been undescribed. The closest that resembles it is Brookesia ramanantsoai. However, the location where this was found is about 50 miles outside of their known distribution.

Amazing, how did you manage to spot that?
I would, probably, have stepped on it without realising and that would have been the end of the species!

Very nice set of macro/close up style captures Des.
