New camera = New bag

Within last couple weeks i have mananged to soucre myself a new camera and lenses :D, just need a bag to put it all in now.

I have:

Canon 40D
55-250 canon
13-55 canon kit lens
50 1.8 prime

Possible later additions:

battery grip
flash unit

Undecided between a slingbag or a shoulder bag, have had a look online at the bags from Lowe pro (100AW / 102AW and 180AW and 170AW) Crumper (5500 / 4000)

I am probably looking to buy a bigger bag to put additional items in later and would rather buy the correct bags now rather than having to upgrade (sensible head on).

Will be off to my local Jessops and LCE at weekend to try some out but would appreciate and experiences the above bags or any that i am missing!

For 3 years I had faithful use of a Lowepro slingshot 100AW that quite happily kept my 400D, 18-200mm, flashgun, batteries and cleaning kit safe but getting my 7D and 15mm-85mm, Lightsphere collapsible and Nissin Di866 things were a little crowded in there.

Luckily for me my GF bought me the Slingshot 302AW for my birthday last week :love::love::love:

Everything fits in a treat with a little room to allow expansion to my kit ;)

Very comfortable to carry on just one shoulder and even more so if you wear it across your back.
 
Of you're after a shoulder bag, the lowepro nova 4 (or 5 bigger) is worth a look. Should easily fit all your bits in. It's a good bag, well padded with movable dividers and an AW cover for our lovely summers.
 
The other decision to make is how much of your stuff do you want to take out on each trip, a large bag for everything is great, but that means you have to carry everything all the time or carry a large bag half empty.

I was going to buy a large bag to keep everything in, but didn't want to carry everything around and didn't want to carry a large bag half empty, preferred to carry a smaller bag nearly full.
 
I've just bought a Domke F2 and it just carries all of my kit (1d mk2, 5d, 50mm, 70-200, 17-40, 90mm macro and a flash, plus spare batteries, filters etc) but is light enough to carry with a smaller amount of stuff. The individual inserts means it can be a small camera bag (1 body and 3 lenses) with space for lunch , waterproof etc or a dedicated camera bag.

It's so god I'm considering selling my billingham Hadley as it may never get used...

I recently bought a Kata DR-466i on recommendation from users here, it's a great day bag and gets lots in with plenty of spare room.

I fit in:

Canon 60D with grip and strap
10-22 attached
50mm prime
rain jacket
sandwiches
2 cans of pop
all little accessories (mem cards etc)

The biggest selling points for me was the ability to strap a tripod to the side of it using the handy zip away tripod bag that holds it's legs and the fact it has a padded laptop sleeve in the back of it which fits my macbook pro quite comfortably alongside all the other gear.

Superb and cheaper at Jacobs than it is online at the mo!
 
another shout for lowepro, i have the mini trekker and its well padded, comfy to cary and has loads of pocekt/spaces and configurations too
