Hello

I currently have a Panasonic G1 with the kit lens (14-45mm) and the 45-200mm lens and want more length along with a macro lens.

I am considering a switch to Canon or Nikon due to the availability and price of lenses compared to the Panasonic, along with the HD video that Canon and Nikon provide.

I am looking at the 550D, 600D or D3100.

My question is where would be the best place to either trade in or sell my Panasonic camera + gear (I also have a proper Panasonic bag, flashgun and filters) and what should be I looking at getting for it?

Have you considered trying to sell/trade it in the classifieds on here?

MPB might be your best bet until you can get on the classifieds section on here. Their link is at the top right and I've just checked on there and they are selling Panasonic CSC systems on there now.

The OP has been a member here since March 2010, he probably already has Classifieds access.

If you have made 25 posts and been here 60 days then the forum software will automatically change your privileges to allow access to the classifieds. The 'upgrade' routine runs at intervals - it is not instant on reaching 25 posts. Expect to wait a few hours at most.
