I think it's marketing hype and half truths. When they say it's 10mbs per sec faster than the 'original' I reckon they mean the extreme I not the III.

no, the original extreme 3 is 166x i think and the new 30mb/second is 204x. Even so, still a very good price.

From memory (no pun intended) the Extreme III's I've got are x133, so these are 50% faster. Wooooosh..... (although don't most folk connect their camera/memory card to a PC and then make a tea whilst the images are copied over? :shrug

ive just had four of these delivered for £75.91 from www.mymemory.co.uk it will be intresting to test them on the camera - i doubt i will notice a difference in speed on the camera, but should do on downloading a whole card to the pc.

the cards look quite classy in the flesh though

If I use the built in CF slot in the card reader on my PC it takes 60 minutes to download 4 gig of images from an Extreme 111

Using a Lexar card reader plugged into a USB2 port it takes 8 minutes!
