Can anyone help.

I`m sure I read somewhere that when you fit a new Lens to a Canon (600d) that you need to somehow match it to the Camera by Software, on Camera Menu or somehow, any Ideas please.

Not at all. Just stick it on the front and away you go (as long as you buy the Canon version!).

Do you mean the micro adjustment for the focus ? If it is needed ?

Maybe, I just seem to remember you have to tell the Camera the characteristics of the lens to get the best out of the combination!!

Could be I`m wrong.

You do not need to do anything apart from fitting it to you camera.

Hi Lennard

There isn't anything you need to do - just connect the lens to the front of the camera and away you go.

Some bodies have the micro adjustment so you can tweak the adjustment slightly IF needed...

Hope this helps you...

Hi andyred, I`m OK with doing that and have done that, it just that I got a thought in my head that the pairing could be done and just felt like exploring that avenue,

and it was raining all day yesterday.

Hi

Yes it can be done (if your body allows), but you don't necessarily have to do it (if that makes sense) - and as you say with the weather being so wet, why not have a play :)

Your 600D does not have the capability for micro focus adjustment - so don't worry about it.

Attach the lens, shoot away!
