Hi, I have a Nikon D60 with the standard 18-55mm kit lens. And although I do find it fairly useful in what I use it for, which mainly is landscapes and such at the minute. I want to add more to my collection but with a much greater zoom, for wildlife and sports photography. I will be working over the summer and wish to spend my paycheck on a lens or two, most likely a zoom and a prime.

For the zoom I was looking at the 18-200, and the 70-300. Be it Nikon or Sigma/Tamron. And any help for a prime will be appreciated.

Moneywise. I'm not looking for over the top expenditure, but i want to get the best for my money.

Cheers

my 2nd lens was a 55-200 AF-S - I'm really happy with it :) about £168 in dec 2009

just now shopping for no 3 - likely to go for 50mm 1.4G AF-S. best £ so far is £276.

That's pretty much what i'm thinking of, but I still feel i'd like the 70-300 more.

I may rent them both to see which i prefer.
