According to Nikon Rumours.....

August 4 - D300s and D3000

October 15- D700x (24.5-megapixel + video)

2010 -

D400 (13.8mp)

D4 (15.7mp + video)
D4x(30.2mp)

No prices yet then.. D700x sounds like the 5D2 of the Nikon world..

D4x.. medium format competitor! i wonder if the iso and speed are as bad.. lol..

Best get the pennys saved for a D4...
But will they improve the lowlight on it even more, that it will make it miles better than the D3?

NR have what is essentially a roadmap for Nikon products until 2011. Whether it's accurate or not is debatable, but if it's even half right it's going to be a strong line up of DSLR's and Lenses. There's talk of a 80-400 VR replacement - which will be longer (450mm), a 300mm f4 VR and a 400mm f5.6.

Personal feeling is we'll see the D3000, D300s, D700x and a 70-200 VRII by Spring 2010 at the latest.

Lovely stuff :)

I'm struggling with the potential of the D3x right now - 30Mp...? HUGE Files...bring on those 2Tb storage units...

But after saying that i would welcome the facility of Video (much to manys disgust!). Most of my photography includes my family and the ability to capture good quality footage as well as good quality stills appeals to me greatly :)

Damn - my D700 is about to become obsolete and will stop taking decent pictures :runaway: :runaway:

If you think that's bad just think of my poor old D2Xs - it apparently stopped being any good about 2 years ago when the D3 was launched

Thankfully - either no-one's told it or it's putting on a brave face as the results are superb still & I'm in no hurry to change as yet :)

I'd be considering the D5 as my earliest reason for change, other than it actually failing of course :(

D2x's are brilliant - I love them, especially the D2xs - the only drawback was the noise levels at high ISO's...

Yep - for those higher ISO needs I simply bought a D300 and it does that job admirably, but I too favour my D2Xs

believe it when they are released.... but I should be able to pick up a couple of D3s and D3Xs for a good price :D

That is true.

The original source of this "rumour" appears to a company that supplies Nikon with IT services, apparently there is a 37-page document with all their plans for 2009/10...
