I want to add a longer telephoto to my collection and have the following options;
a) 100-400 L IS
b) 400 L f/5.6
c) 300 L f/4 IS + 1.4X
What will work best. I'm pretty much set on the 300 with the 1.4 which makes it a 420 f/5.6 IS. Just need to find some test shots as the 2x extender I had a while back has awful IQ.
Am I doing the right thing in going for the 300 + 1.4?
