I plugged my card reader into my nice shiny new Mac. Said Mac downloaded the RAW files using iPhoto. I open DPP to edit them and cant seem to get to them. I can view them in iPhoto. If I drag them into DPP they open as JPEGs.
HELP

If you go to File > Export and from the dropdown 'Kind' choose Original.

May be a different way but haven't used iPhoto in a while...

Thanks Roger. That seem to do the trick if I export them to "Document". I can open them in DPP from there. Is there any way of opening them directly with DPP from the iPhoto library?

Hi Carl.

They seem to be stored in the iPhoto library. It doesn't appear when I try and open from DPP though.

If you go into the menu iPhoto > Preferences you can make DPP your 'edit photo in' then go to the Advanced tab and tick 'use RAW for external editor' ?

Thanks Roger. That certainly helps.

Could someone talk me through their workflow from RAW to JPG using DPP & iPhoto Pleeeeeaaase.

in Finder go to your home directory, from there select Pictures then right click click on iPhoto and select 'Show package contents' from the menu.
