Hey guys and girls!

I have been working on my website recently and I have now got it up! super happy with how it has come out!

Here is my portfolio website... http://www.teaguephotography.co.uk/

Check it out and tell me what you think of it! it may still need a few changes :)

Cheers!!!

Well, I'm liking it! Neat, clean and simple.
Wasn't too sure about the gallery pop out but its growing on my. The only comment I have is that your gallery is mixed with no idication of genre's. I guess you have the option of adding more pages to distinguish these as you grow your site.

Cheers!

I wanted the popout to almost be like a TV remote. :) Im going to be putting sections in soon as im going to put all the shows I take pictures up onto their own pages... :D

Is there anything else you might change about the website?

Cheers again :D

Extra: I am now working on multipage portfolio part, watch that space :D

Can't add much more than what Teresa said. It's simple & clean, but it doesn't tell me a lot about what your specialism is. A portfolio divided into categories would help with that.

But then it's hard to judge a website without knowing what it is you're trying to get out of it. Are you selling images? Services? or is it just a web presence where people can see your work?

Ian.

Well I haven't really specialised much when it actually comes to my photography haha. I do a lot of different work. but the websites portfolio page will be split into four sections... Landscapes, Sports, Portraiture and other.

The website was created originally as a place just to show my work. But I'm not thinking I could use it to get some work... if people were to see it etc.

Cheers,
Mat

I don't like the pop out as it rquires the use of the horizontal scroll bars.

And I think your hosting bills cpuld get quite high if you have a lot of visitors because of the size of your pics - I would use easy thumbnails to reduce the filesize (not the actual pic size) - set to 85% with no resize.

It also doesn't validate - you have 86 errors and 22 warnings which means it may not show properly on different platforms.

And correct validation is important if you want to get on Google and other search engines - but since there is virtually no text at all you may struggle to get on to any SEs unless you get lots of incoming links.

What screen resolution are you using? as I have created it for the standard screen resolutions which is 1280 x 1024.

My hosting bill wont change with the amount of pictures or traffic on the site. it is just a normal monthly bill. also the images aren't that big. the large images are between 70-90Kb (most being 70Kb) each and the small images are between 15-30Kb each.

The errors are mainly coming from the Javascript as they have extra code put in for some of the more obscure browsers like netscape so it can read it. The website has been tested to work on the main browsers: Google Chrome, Internet explorer, Mozilla firefox and Apple Safari.

I realise it might be difficult to get onto the Google listings, I need to work out a way of getting some more text onto the pages... haha

Website has now been updated! it has the four sections. Think it works quite nicely :)

There is more content to go up but ive done enough for one day haha :D
