Newbie - cant decide which camera from a choice of 2

Hello all, i'm Steve a dlsr newbie. Looking to buy my 1st dlsr at the end of the week, after reading lots of reviews and having a feel ( of the cameras) at various stores i've narrowed it down to nikon.

I'm after some opinions pros n cons as i really cant decide.

D3100 is entry level consumer grade. D90 is entry level pro/prosumer grade. D90 will hold it's resale value far better and is a camera that you won't out grow anytime soon. However the D3100 seems to be a twin lens kit. Myself I'd go D90 but 2 lens is a temptation.

D90 for me. Much better camera, better built, better functionality, will last you longer, in the long run will be easier to use due to the extra quick access buttons. The D3100 will feel like a toy compared to the D90.

+1 for the d90 a better camera all round and will take you further/teach you more as you use it

Neither - both of those are grey imports without a genuine Nikon UK warranty - the difference between them and a UK camera from Amazon or Dixons (in the case of the D90) is only a tenner....

The D90 will give you lots more options when it comes to using different lenses...
