Ok which memory card for the Canon 50D take, ive been told its a SDHC and now being told its a Compact Flash and not SDHC.

If it takes both then which one is best?

The 50D will only take a Compact flash John.

Its a compact flash card. I'd say a min of 4GB.

CF cards -> try 7dayshop / Play / Amazon for good prices, also worth trying Dixons / PCW / Currys online - they sometimes have some good offers on and you can collect at store as well
