Very sharp, beautiful colours and well exposed.

What you need to work on a bit is composition.

Read up on the rule of thirds - it's not a 'rule', perse, but is a handy little guide

looks like the insect is either a Burnet moth or a Cinnabar moth and what a cute pooch, he has the loveable

I thought it looked like a 6 spot Burnet, but I'm no lepidopterist.
As for the pooch, who couldn't love a nose and eyes like that!
