Hi guys/girls, new to the forum and I am jumping into the deep end.

I am after some advise. I have been enjoying my very recent entry into video editing. I am about to buy a Canon D5 MK2 and wanted some advise on what lens I should use that is good in price say up to £500 and is an all round lens I can use for my video shooting.

Please explain your choices as I am very new into the DSLR game and dont really have a grasp on what lenses do what yet.

What do you want to be filming? One lens is great for filming an intimate romance scene. Not great for filming geese flying through the arctic tundra.

I am a car enthusiast, so would be filming statick cars. show cars mainly and crowd scenes.

Save your money buy a 60D and spend the rest on audio kit, lights, lenses, memory, stabilisation etc

Ok so dipped into Jessops got my 5D Mk2 and a Tamron 24 -75mm lens.

Just getting to grips with the different functions and the menu lay out of the camera.

Will be joining a Camera club soon so that I can get some one on one advise.
