Hi
I'm very new to photography and needed a hobby and love to take photos. I am currently following a 20week course book I got myself to help me learn, I need to try to find somewhere to take some good landscape pictures in the Hertfordshire area, any suggestions are greatly received Thanks in advance.

Have you got an ordinance survey map of the area?

The 1 to 25,000 is a mine of information detailing the hills, rivers, bridges, historic ancient sites and lots of other information likely to be of use to photographers. also a rough guide to the orientation of the features from which you could calculate the likely sun positions etc

Not a landscaper myself, but there's Deacon Hill up near Hitchin, which had some nice views. There's also lavender fields up that way that can be pretty impressive at this time of year. And not quite in Herts, there's Ivinghoe Beacon, and the Ashridge Estate.
