My two year old 2408WFP developed a fault last week, a vertical yellow line to the right of the screen which disappears after it has been on for a while. A quick google told me it was a common fault.
Checked with the company where I bought it (PCBuyIt) and they confirmed it had a 'Pixel Perfect' 3 year warranty with Dell.
Call Dell Friday afternoon, no arguments a re-furbed replacement would be dispatched for Monday. A courtesy call Friday night from Dell to confirm dispatch.
Today, Monday, I'm snowed in working from home. Shortly after lunch a knock at the door and there is a very soggy courier who has walked a few hundred yards from the nearest passable road. At his feet is a brand new U2410 to replace my knackered 2408WFP.
A big thumbs up to all involved
Well chuffed with the outcome.
The replacement is thus far spot on, no dead pixels or sub-pixels and after a bit of a clart with calibration it is looking good.
