Night and Day

I posted these in one of the general threads in another section but I like them a lot so I am offering them up for critique to see what others think. These are the Night and Day statues in Liverpool:

These were shot with a 50mm on my Minolta X-300 on Ilford HP5+. I have given them minimal PP, just a slight S curve and spot healing to clean some dust spots from them.

Hope you don't mind - your profile allows image editing.

I think they would benefit from some heavy NR in the BG since there's no detail anyway and the noise is only an unnecessary distraction...here's what I mean;

Hi Phil. Don't mind at all and I do like what you have done with it. The grain was the result of pushing the film one stop and I am always reluctant to carry out NR on film images as I kind of like it I do like the edit though
