Nikkor 18-200 and a TC

Most won't physically fit and those that do result in the minimum aperture being too small for some cameras to AF properly although modern cameras will probably work but maybe not very well. Finally, the resulting image quality will be pretty naff and you'd probably just be better off cropping your original photos.

What Ned said! The rear element of the lens will make contact with the front element in the Nikon teleconverters and can cause damage. The lens will fit on some 3rd party telecons (I've just checked it with a Teleplus 1.5x SHQ and it retains AF on my old D70 so should work on a more modern body.)

As above, Teleconvertor are primarily designed to work with fast telephoto primes, or fast telephoto zooms (like the 70-200 f2.8)

More often than not they will not work with conventional tele-zooms like your 18-200mm

If you google there is a Nikon compatibility chart - always worth checking to ensure no physical damage
