Nikkor 55-200 from Tesco's

Don't see any reason not to. buy it and collect in store and they'll always be easy enough to return stuff to if something is wrong.
 
AFAIK you can't buy and collect photo equipment. I bought a D90 last week from them, not showing a stock level but I got a telephone call this week to say it's out of stock and there's a 14 day wait. My order page shows delivery date of 1999.
I posted this in a reply to a cock up on the Tesco web page regarding a mispriced Canon camera and another poster commented that he had ordered a Nikon lens from Tescos and he had had a call too.........2 weeks delay

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

I have ordered the lens from my usual supplier, Park Cameras.
Not the cheapest, but one of the best dealers around, this if from experience.

Yup, that would be me! The 55-200 VR zoom lens.

I made sure to ask clearly when the Tesco employee called me that a) it definitely is the VR version and b) that the price will still be the same when it does eventually come back in to stock. She replied yes on both accounts so let's wait and see........... :)
 
Hi Steve, just checked and mine's the same. I received the free 'camera cleaning kit' yesterday though (and it was badly damaged in transit).
