A couple of questions regarding this converter. I received a brand new one today and I was wondering if it was normal for a rattle sound to be coming from it and when I connected it to my D90 the display on the camera was flashing f. Now I had no other lens connected just the converter so this could be normal.

The rattle is just the metal which contacts with the aperture levers in the camera or lens, and yes its fine that it rattles, the camera will display f until a lens is attached to the converter, All is OK.
