I'm attending a night photography course and part of us requires a 35mm film camera as we are cover developing and dark room practices. I might be able to get my hands on a Nikon f90 35mm body but I was wondering whether it is possible to use my 18-105 kit lens from my D90 on it? I don't want to have to buy another lens as the module is only a couple of weeks long.

From wikipedia F90 page:

"Newer G lenses without aperture rings only fully function under shutter priority and program modes. It does work under manual or aperture priority, however only at the minimum aperture"

Ok cheers for your replies. That rules that out. I guess I now have to look at buying a cheap 35mm body/lens combo off eBay. Anyone with a recommendation of something cheap?

You can probably get a Practika MTL 5 with a 50mm f/1.8 lens for about £10-15 off thiefbay?

Martin. Where are you based? Just wondering if I can lend you something. Looks like you might be close by.

Thank you for your kind offer it is much appreciated. I'm based in Sunderland but as it turns out I've spoken to my dad this afternoon and in a stroke of luck he thinks he has an old Pentax sitting in a cupboard that should fit the bill. If that's the case then that should give me what I need.

It's good to be in contact with some many people on this board from the area.

No problemo. If it falls through for any reason, just send me a pm.
