Anyone any experience of using the Nikon 2TCIII converter with the 300/2.8 and the 70-200/2.8. I want to photograph aircraft so would it be possible to hand hold the 300 lens with TC. Maybe it wont be necessary to use the converter at all, not sure. merv:thinking:
 
Pretty sure kevshore uses these combinations. Hopefully he'll be along to let you know if it's hand held or not. I know fast jets are one of his 'things'

Hi Brendan thanks for the pointers. Very useful articles and just what I needed. Kev you dont need to reply yet again if you dont want to. I am going to the Cotswold air show next month and have the 300/2.8, 70-200 and TC 20EIII. Have used the 70-200 TC combo on cars and bikes but have used neither combo on planes so just not sure about reach and hand holding, particularly with the 300 plus TC. I realise a tripod or monopod will not be on for aeriel shots. Thanks for help. merv:clap:
