Bought a total basket case of a 70-200 VR1 a little while back. It all worked nicely, just needed a lot of TLC. That is until I knocked the bloody thing over whilst working on it and now the VR isn't working.
Symptoms are that the VR functions when you first turn the camera on but then stops. To restart it, I need to switch the camera on and off again. If the camera is completely still, it will work forever more (handy that!). As soon as you move the camera slightly, it stops and the camera needs to be reset to get any life out of it again. Is this terminal or is there anything I can try to affect a repair?
