Nikon and Pentax Mirrorless Dissapointment :(

Seems as though Nikon and Pentax are having smaller 1/2.33" sensors than larger 4/3 and APS-C sensors. Quite a dissapointment to be honest however you can't really assume something that isn't realised yet so there is still hope that they may get the technology for the sensors so that it is capable of high ISO shooting.

Usually quite reliable I've found, also I think it's officially been stated by Nikon and Pentax. I'm guessing they'll both be using the same sensor as well because it seems odd that Nikon and Pentax just happen to both want smaller sensors. I think they've got something up their sleeve especially as Nikon usually use Sony sensors and so this will be something new for Nikon.

Last month their blog was forecasting (based on what they'd read on 43rumors) that the Nikon mirrorless camera was going to be based on the Fuji X100, so I'd take this latest "scoop" with an equally large grain of salt.....

Yeah I do think Pentax make some silly moves and I think they overthrow the mirrorless system by releasing something classic, retro styling like the pen, the sensor and electronics like the NEX but with a proper feel like you could use it for serious work, it would be like a cheaper Leica. I can see it being pheasable it's just will they follow that route. I for one would love something like a Leica as the size and shape of the Leica would make it perfect for my use so if Pentax did something like that and then was able to make it utilise the Pentax Limited Lenses which are small so it would be a perfect companion.
