Nikon Coolscan LS-III

Is the Nikon coolscan LS3 compatible and work ok with windows Vista installed on PC?

I know the Coolscan 8000 works under Vista 32 bit but not 64, which is why I have a dual boot system.

Perhaps your scanner is the same - check the Nikon support forum for answers

Vuescan supports Nikon LS30 (along with 1200 other scanners) and will run under Vista and Linux and that Mac stuff.

Seconded...

If we are running Vista, the machine is likely to be too new have an SCSI connection.
Didn't have SCSI on my pc and its 6 years old, had to buy a card and install it, which, once I got my arse in to gear wasn't too bad in the end.
So there are drivers for SCSI cards for XP......dunno about Vista.
