Nikon D300 blob!...

Recently on the Thames Barrier Meet I spotted a 'black blob' when I look through the viewfinder on the D300. It's not on the lenses and I can't see it, with naked eye, on the sensor. So where is it?

I'm off this Wednesday so are there any places in London that offer a clean while you wait service for the D300?

One other thing how do you use a rocketblower?! Any dos and donts?

If you can see it through the viewfinder it won't be on the sensor or the lens.
Most likely it will be in the mirror/focussing screen area.

Thanks for replies so far. Any other thoughts and answers on other questions?

I've never used them personally, but I've heard good things about them. They can be a little slow if you're not a professional but I don't see how this would impact a while you wait service. Bear in mind that the service on their website is a sensor clean, which isn't really what you want, I was just pointing out that it's within the realms of possibility. I'd phone ahead if I were you.

Handy for you if you're down Wimbledon way!

Thanks Lukas for your swift reply. Much appreciated.
