I currently use my SLR for mountaineering, climbing and other adventure photography so I used a D60 currently which is nice and light / compact.
However, I need something that will do movies but which I can still use with my currently lenses. I was looking at a D3100 or D5100. Can anyone suggest what I will really gain from the 5100 over the 3100 other than a slightly better sensor. I'm uncertain if I will honestly notice any difference. They appear to weight about the same.
Also any advice on the movie shooting capabilities of them would be appreciated as I am relatively unfamiliar with SLR movie making. Up to now I've been limited to GoPro footage.
