Hi , Please could anyone help me. I have just purchased a Nikon D40 and I need an original instruction manual. Does anyone know where I can get one . Thanks. Budgie2
 
Unless somebody here comes up with one for you, I suggest you either download it from Nikon's website or you should be able to order it directly from them, either by phone or via their website.

D40 is a cracking camera, still have mine and use it regular, lovely images it produces.

the original Nikon manual was a bit rubbish....:D

I agree that the manual isn't as helpful as it should be, I ended up with the d40 Digital Field Guide which was more use, and Ken Rockwells (free!) guide on his website is useful to get you started too, just remember to take it with a small pinch of salt ;)
