Nikon D7000: Aperture Stuck

My D7000 is only a few weeks old. I took my Sigma 10-20mm off the body a few minutes ago (which was set at f/3.5 and it isn't a manual lens) and swapped it for my Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.8 (this isn't a manual lens either). When I switched it on, the aperture was reading f/0 and I couldn't change it.

I did a quick google search and search on here but couldn't find anything (most likely because I didn't really know what to search for) and was wondering if anyone knows why this occurred?

I removed the lens and put it back on again and then it worked fine.

Possibly a simple bad connection and / or the bayonet not seated correctly when the lens was changed.

I would try it for a bit and see if the problem recurrs. If it does, try to find out what causes it and the cure and it will be easier to explain when you return under warranty. I say this because it can be quite difficult sometimes to replicate an intermittant fault.

Most likely not fitted correctly the first time by me. It's harder fitting the lens to the D7k than it was on the D3100, I guess that's because of the weather sealing.

I'd forgotten about the weather sealing, but that is definately a possibility. By the way, I like your choice of camera!

Lol cheers. I spent months looking at it, deciding if I needed to upgrade yet and the took the plunge and ordered it at about 4am Christmas morning. loving it so far (apart from the above)!
