Nikon D7000 or cheaper

i had a d300 which I loved however looking to get back into photography, been looking at the D7000 just do photos of my 2 labs, as in action shot quick focus etc. landscapes and little wildlife.

So do I go for a D7000 or would I be better with a newer and cheaper lower spec Nikon and if so what?

Looking at around the £350 body only mark 2nd hand , also prefer a larger camera as not keen on the smaller compact ones as do not feel very comfortable.

You would be better of with the d300 than a d7k for what you want to shoot.

Brilliant that's what was in the back of my mind would be cheaper too

Could you push to the D7100,great camera the D300 but limited on the top usable ISO unless your into noise reduction,the D7000 is good but the D7100 better IMO.
