Nikon D90 Battery Not Charging

Hi there, I got my Nikon D90 with a spare battery.
On the underside it says Nikon EN-EL3e Li-ion 7.4v 1400mAh. The charger indicates that the battery is fully charged, yet when I try to power the camera, I get nothing.
The battery that came with the camera is exactly the same except it is 1500mAh.
Before I drive the 1.5hrs back to Bangkok (where I bought the camera from) does anyone have any ideas as to why it might not be working? Any help appreciated :)
 
Sounds like a dead battery.

I've got the same issue with a couple of Xbox 360 battery packs, put them on charge, 5 mins later the light goes green indicating a full charge and when being used it lasts about 30 seconds :(
 
Damn :( will have to trek to Bangkok to get them to replace it.

Any idea for a good source (online) of 3rd party batteries?
