Nikon difference help please?

Guys i thought i had my mind made up on the nikon d90 but now i see the nikon d5000 is out. can someone tell me simply **** is better?
 
yea thats what i thought but if it was the newer models etc i would rather buy that
 
The D90 (on spec) seems the better of the two - plus I've owned the D90 and can vouch for how good it is. Go for it and don't look back!
 
D90 has a better body IMO, better controls and displays, can auto-focus non AF-S lenses, and has flash commander built in. For me anyway, that makes it worth the extra.

Best bet if you're not sure is to go and handle both in a shop.
 
thats the thing the d90 is cheaper on the jessops website than the d5000
 
Seen the d5000 in a shop today and it looked the same size as my D40x would have thought it would be a bit more chunky like the D90.
