Hi, this caught my attention, any comments?

You are looking at a Brand New Nikon Fit 52mm Lens reversing ring by Kood.
[This adaptor will allow you to use a lens with a 52mm filter ring around the wrong way so that it can be used for Macro photography.

This is a very effective way of getting into close up photography without the big outlay on dedicated Macro lenses.

Please note that the camera will need to be used in full manual mode.

The macro pictures below were taken using a Nikon Nikkor 50mm F1.4 lens on a Nikon D200. Similar results can be obtained using the F1.8 version along with other nikon lenses and cameras like the D70, D70s D50, D80, D90, D100, D200, D300 etc.

Have a look in the Tutorials section -- there's an overview of the different macro options and the pros and cons of each.

If you do go this way, consider getting the filter ring adapter for the other side of the lens as that will protect the rear element, which will stand out and be very close to whatever you're trying to photograph. A cheaper option is to cut the end off a rear lens cap.

Kood step rings (so I guess these) are normally well made.
