Hey does any one know what sort of remote I will need for my nikon d3200 for longer exposure than 30s thanks
Lewis

Thanks guys how do you actually set the time on there

If the camera is put into bulb mode, one press of the wireless remote starts the exposure another ends it. so this can be left open for some time. Its how i used to do mine before upgrading camera

there is no way to set the time, you will have to time it yourself

For long shutter speeds a wired remote is better than the infra red Nikon offering, which not only has to rely on a batter, but also has to be pointed at the infra red sensor, to start and stop the shutter. On my first DSLR there was one sensor on the front of the camera.

Luckily the price of remotes has come down a lot. No need to go the Ebay route. ;)

some of the cheaper Nikon's have no option to plug a wired remote timer in, although looking at Nikon site the d3200 has ! so a quick google should bring up an cheaper alternative to Nikon's MC-DC2

Thanks everyone!!
