Nikon SB700

Just bought a SB 700 to go with my D7K. Agonised over SB 910 or 700. Went with 700 due to overheating on 910 and additional cost with little extra functionality. Very happy. Commander with pop up flash and sb700 as clave works well. Happy camper.
 
I had 560 or 568 I cant remember which:thinking: but not long bought the sb700 and its worlds apart in my book:)

I can't say the Nikon is worth it, but I can say I am happy with my Yongnuo 560 III, for £60 notes is does what I want.
 
it depends on what you want to use it for.

Personally I found the Yongnuo 565 a great performer. The few times i've used a proper Nikon flash, can't say I've thought oooh I gotta get one of those... .

In fact the 900 underwhelmed me since it kept overheating.

Happy with mine two, especially the build-in receiver! :D - but OP wants iTTL, HSS and wireless capabilities!

Which reminds me to mention the Yongnuo RF-603 transmitter/receiver for the wireless bit.

Would recommend a pair of 603s and a cable for the camera, as you then will have the option for remote controlling that as well.

You say OP wants iTTL and HSS, and then you recommend RF-603? :cuckoo:

He should look for YN-622 instead, and if he want to remote control camera, he'll need three and not two!
There's no receiver in the YN568EX-III...


Shocked about the lack of basic knowledge!

The SB 900 overheated, the 910 doesn't as far as i know?

Also you can't plug a battery pack into a SB700, which left me kicking myself when i got mine, i should have just got the SB910.

Oh well!

Thing is too, you can pickup 3 Yongnuo YN568EX for the price of the SB910 :D but they beep when recharged, which is annoying.
