No
Was wondering is the SB800 still worth buying consider their is a SB700.

The SB800 seems to goes for around £150 used so i'm tempting. Currently i'm using a Metz flash unit but i don't mind getting a Nikon one to use and use the metz for other use.

SB800 seems to be a robust and reliable flash - the SB900 seemed to get reports of overheating/crashing and the SB910 followed fairly quickly.
I would say the SB800 was a good buy, (I've got 2).

The reason i asking is because i have the option to buy a fair new (mint condition) SB800 with trigger, remote and battery adapter thing for around £140. Was also looking at the newer SB700 and not sure is the SB700 really worth spending the extra money on.

are you sure about SB700 is older? because it seems the SB800 is discontinue and the SB700 is still selling brand new.

SB700 is the SB600 replacement and came after the SB-900.

SB800 is definitely older than the SB700.

I'm still thinking shall i pull the trigger on a mint SB800 or save abit more for the Sb700.

I would say that's a pretty damn good deal, considering some SB600,s have gone for £130 on here, bite his hand off :D
