Nikon SB900 (on D90)

I have an SB900, which is a pretty big/heavy flash unit, atop my D90. The SB900 uses a cam/lever lock to secure it to the flash hot shoe. My previous experience with Nikon flashes was using the SB28(?) which slid into the hot shoe, and was secured by turning a locking wheel. As best I recall, that held the flash unit firmly down on the hot shoe.

What I noticed with the SB900 is that the cam/lever lowers a locking pin into the hot shoe, which holds the flash in place - but it seems not to hold it tightly - there is a very slight wobble/movement within the shoe. Its not going to fall out, and everything works OK, but this just seems odd.

Anyone notice this?
