Nikon tc 2 teleconverter

Hi. I'm interested to know if anyone knows if I can use a teleconverter on my 28-300 Nikon lens? Will this give me the equivalent of 600 on dx? I'm using a d7100

What about using on a celestron telescope with t adapter?

Tc works well with reasonably fast tele zooms or primes.

They are horrible on standard zooms let along the wide one you have.

cheapest way for you is to get a Sigma 120-300mm f2.8... Will take a 1.4 tele happily & very sharp too.

Wouldn't bother trying a manual with that lens

If the Nikon 2X converter is the one you have in mind it cannot be used:-

Need to be carefull that you find out if the converter is compatible before you try it because in some cases the problem is one of the rear element of the lens striking the converter.

Thanks arc light. I seen it could do that. My celestron se4 scope has a t attachment with no glass in. I wonder if I could use a 2x converter in this to act as a 2x barlow?
